Loophole Travel readers, and our good friends, Melanie & Jay decided to use our Travel Coaching service. They earned a Companion Pass and thousands of Southwest, American Airlines, IHG, Starwood, and Chase Ultimate Rewards Points/Miles. I’ll let Melanie tell their story:
Loophole Travel has been a game changer for my husband and me! I was hesitant at first about all of this points business, but once the points and possibilities started rolling in, I wondered why I was ever worried. My husband followed Jesse’s advice with which credit cards to get. Once that was done (this can take some time) we were pretty well set!
With the Southwest Companion Pass and all the other points, not only have we been able to go on amazing vacations, but I have also gotten to join my husband for weekend trips when he travels for business! If he goes to a conference from Wednesday to Friday, I will fly out to meet him on Friday using points, and we will spend the weekend (on hotel points). Then we can fly back together, using the Companion Pass to add my ticket to his company’s paid ticket (translation- completely free!). That means we only “paid” for a single, one-way flight for each weekend trip. “Paid” is in quotes because all these points just seem like a grown up version of Monopoly money to me.
So far in 2016, we have traveled to:
- Orlando (weekend trip before work conference)
- San Juan and Vieques, Puerto Rico (weeklong vacation)
- Boston (weekend trip for fun)
- Las Vegas (weekend trip before work conference)
- Alaska (weeklong vacation)
- Denver (weekend trip following work conference)
- Madison, WI (weekend trip to visit friends)
And trips planned for later in the year:
- Long weekend in San Fransisco and Sonoma
- LA for a friend’s bachelorette party (husband will go too to hang out with a friend, might as well, since the ticket is free!)
We would travel even more if our jobs offered more vacation days! I am so glad we have had all of these travel opportunities thanks to the advice from Loophole Travel! To many more!
