Discover offers an incredible Double Cash Back promotion for their Discover IT card. They will match all cash back earned during your first year as a card holder! You read that right… ALL CASH BACK IS DOUBLED!
After a full year of enrollment in this promotion, I received an email with the above picture. We earned $1,168.67 in cash back between July 2015 and July 2016. Therefore, on the August 2016 statement, Discover doubled the cash back by adding another $1,168.67! In total, we earned $2,337.34 cash back in ONE YEAR from ONE CARD!!
How to Earn Big Cash
Step 1: Get the Discover IT Card
The first obvious step is to apply for the Discover IT card. This card comes with a $50 sign up bonus if you use this link. Double this, so you’re already on your way with $100!
Step 2: Activate 5% Bonus Categories
Every quarter, you can earn 5% cash back for purchases in specific categories, up to $1,500. These categories rotate and include restaurants, gas, groceries, movies, home improvement, and even Amazon. With the double cash back promo, you are effectively earning 10% back on these categories.
Step 3: Discover Deals
Discover Deals is a cash back portal. If you are planning to make an online purchase, check the Discover Deals website. By clicking through one of the links there and making your purchase, you earn cash back. This will be doubled.
Step 4: Everyday Spending
In addition to the 5% categories, you also earn an unlimited 1% cash back on all purchases with the card. You guessed it, this too will be doubled.
Step 5: Refer Friends
Discover offers a refer-a-friend program. Once you have the card, you can visit the refer-a-friend website, log in, and get your specific link. For each friend (up to 10 per year) who successfully applies for a Discover IT card, you will earn $50… which turns into $100!
Conclusion
I highly recommend taking advantage of this lucrative offer. With payouts like ours, I thought Discover would have axed this program long ago. The Discover IT card also has no annual fee, so you’re not risking anything by jumping on board. Cheers!
