Our friends at Woolly recently announced their new merino wool travel pants and shorts. These pants are stylish and filled with travel-friendly features. They’re available for a limited time via Kickstarter. Take a look at the features these innovative pants offer.
Kickstarter
Kickstarter campaigns have mixed perception. They can be risky, since there’s not always a guarantee the product gets produced. This campaign is different.
Woolly is an established clothing brand. They have many products in the market, including a few items that we’ve tested and loved on our travels. They’re using Kickstarter for this, because design and production on a completely new product is expensive.
Features
In this post, I’ll be covering the features of these new pants and shorts. Since they’re currently in development, we haven’t had the opportunity to test them out yet. I’ll do a follow up post, once I get my pair.
Material
Woolly constructed the Long Haul pants and shorts from:
- 71% merino wool – Wrinkle resistant, odor minimizing, moisture wicking, temperature regulating
- 22% cotton – Durable, gives structure
- 7% spandex – Flexible, stretch fit
Fit
Most travel pants are not exactly stylish. With zippers, cargo pockets, odd seams, and baggy fits, traditional travel pants are mostly built for comfort and carrying items.
The Long Haul pants and shorts feature a tailored, slim fit. The above-mentioned fabric makes this fit possible, because of the stretch. You’ll have all of the features you need in travel pants, while also looking great!
Colors
These pants come in the three quintessential colors – navy, khaki, and charcoal. Each of these colors fit well into a basic limited-color travel wardrobe.
Packable
At approximately 1/3 the weight of an average pair of jeans, the Long Haul Pants are very lightweight. They also roll up quite small and take up less space in your bag.
Final Thoughts
These pants and shorts look awesome. I’m very excited to get my hands/legs on them. The Kickstarter campaign funded at 100% within 24 hours! You’ve got a couple more weeks to order these pants at a discount, before the campaign closes.
