Bluffworks has been making great travel clothing for a while now. They combine technical performance with office-ready looks to create a compelling line up of products, perfect for travel. In this post, I’ll specifically be looking at their Travel Suit. It is, in my opinion, the absolute best suit option for travelers!
I used to travel extensively for my job, which often required me to wear a suit. That usually meant a trip to the dry cleaner, then carefully folding my suit and praying it wouldn’t be wrinkled. When I finally put the suit on, I couldn’t wait for the day to be over, because it was so hot and uncomfortable. Fortunately, those days are over, thanks to the Bluffworks Travel Suit.
The Bluffworks Travel Suit is actually a combination of two products that they introduced independently: The Gramercy Blazer and the Gramercy Pants.
Gramercy Blazer
This is the blazer that broke the mold. Before the Gramercy Blazer, I only wore dress jackets if I absolutely had to. Now, I reach for it on many occasions, including wearing it as normal jacket on a chilly day. The tailored cut keeps me looking polished, and of course, it packs very well.
My Gramercy Blazer has been in my bag perpetually for the past year or so, as I’ve traveled to weddings and graduations. I can roll it up and shove it in the bottom of my backpack. When I arrive, I give it a quick shake and hang it up. My old blazers would be a wrinkly mess under these conditions, but the Gramercy Blazer looks fresh and crisp. The wrinkle-resistant polyester and slightly heathered pattern combine to prevent most wrinkles and cloak the tiny ones that sneak through.
In addition to being wrinkle-resistant, the fabric is very lightweight and breathable. I wore the blazer to a wedding this summer in Georgia, in 95+ degree heat. Everyone else looked miserable in their wool suits, and I felt great! (Well, as great as one can in that kind of heat.) I also wore it during my campaign for City Council during the middle of a frigid Midwestern winter. It’s truly a jacket for all occasions!
The final feature that is valuable to travelers is the intelligent pocket design. There are 10 functional pockets in the Gramercy Blazer, including two zipper pockets for added security. I’ve been able to store my passport, wallet, phone, headphones, kindle, and sunglasses in the pockets!

Gramercy Pants
After rave reviews for the Gramercy Blazer, Bluffworks introduced the Gramercy Pants, to form a complete travel suit. These pants are built from the same material as the blazer, giving them a subtle stretch, lightweight feel, and excellent breathability.
You can choose between the regular and tailored fit, depending on your preference. The Gramercy Pants feature a flat front, for a polished, modern look. They also include security features for the business traveler, like hidden, zippered pockets.
These are the only dress pants I wear anymore. With, or without, the blazer, these are the perfect pants for business travel!

Final Thoughts
The Bluffworks Gramercy Blazer and Gramercy Pants form my absolute favorite travel suit. I’ve listed a lot of great features above, but I have to say that my #1 favorite thing about this suit is that IT IS MACHINE WASHABLE!! I cannot adequately express how much I dislike dry cleaners. They’re expensive; they take forever; and they usually do a poor job, in my experience. With the Bluffworks Suit, you can do the washing yourself, at home!
Head over to Bluffworks’ website to check out the suit for yourself. You’ll be glad you did!
