Or it’s the same process as the Serve card but with the Redcard, i.e. buy gift cards, load them onto redcard at Target, pay credit card via redcard app/online on phone? Jesse Unfortunately, the Redcard is no longer an option. Target recently went to cash only for Redcard loads 🙁 Looks like we are stuck with Serve for now. cbjewelz so apparently you can only load Redcards with cash now…so much for that Pingback: Two Easy Steps for a Free New York City Weekend Vacation | Loophole Travel() kasibrown Looks like this Serve card is no longer free. It’s $1/month unless: § The monthly fee is waived when you receive a Direct Deposit of $500 or more during each monthly statement period. Jesse You could probably do that if you want. I prefer to deposit then pay. katie I recently branched into buying staples gift cards online with my chase ink plus to meet the spending requirement. I used those gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart and actually just cashed the money orders at Walmart as well and then deposited the cash into my bank to not raise a flag. I would say cashing them directly at the Walmart register is the best option – I just told them I get gift cards from work and prefer to have cash. Mick Do you get 5x points using your chase ink plus to buy the staples gift cards? Jesse Staples GCs do earn 5x UR points for up to $50k in spending each year. Sam How can you use a Staples gift card at Walmart? Jesse *Visa gift cards from Staples jeremy Where is the best place to buy Visa gift cards? I’m assuming anywhere you buy them will have the additional [activation] fee right? And are all Visa GCs created equal in the sense that *all* of them will have will have PINs? Jesse I buy at local grocery stores. They do not all have pins. Look for ones issued by Sunrise or Metabank (read back of packaging) if you want to buy MO’s at Walmart. jplee3 Thanks! I know places like Staples, Target, etc cap gift card purchases to $2000 (I’m assuming in a day). Do grocery stores typically enforce this limit too? Jesse Limits are different all over the place. Some have them, others don’t. Definitely YMMV. flyfast @loopholetravel has anyone successfully reopened serve/bb after being shut down? does using a different phone #, email, address work? or is it all tied to the SSN? thanks! Jesse Some people have tried it, but most have been shut down on a subsequent round of closures. I don’t view Serve as a viable option anymore. flyfast interesting. any idea how they were able to reopen their account? Jesse From what I’ve read, they just re-entered their info on the Serve OneVIP card request website. It did not work for me.
